Safeguards are now an essential component of the growing AI technology race
Today the New York Times reported that Amazon, Google, Meta and other key AI industry players have agreed to new safeguards as the AI race continues to heat up. While generative AI technologies are still nascent it is essential that business, technology, and government are considered in their regulatory and governance approach including implementing sufficient guard rails to aid in economic growth, privacy, job safety (and/or retraining programs), as well as dogged focus to help mitigate any monopoly influence that a singluar company could capture.
